A Cyclic Cellular Automaton is a type of cellular automaton that operates on rules similar to the Game of Life. The reason I became interested in it was because of the stunning array of patterns that can be produced just by varying some of the initial settings. This application allows you to easily explore all of those different settings. There are thousands of different ones to try on your own as well as a library of interesting ones that you can browse. As a bonus you can also get three more models inside the app to play around with: Game of Life, Brian's Brain and Langton's Ant.
